Hello, I’m Melissa!

Before becoming a dietitian, I worked at a pharmacy for 10 years and saw firsthand the burden, confusion, and discouragement that often comes with taking medications for conditions that could have been prevented—or at least better managed—with a healthier lifestyle. I also grew up watching family members navigate chronic illnesses that I now know could’ve been eased with the right nutrition and care.

Originally planning to become a pharmacist, I made a major shift and became a Registered Dietitian in 2014 so I could help people eat better, feel better, and take back control of their health—naturally.

Since then, I’ve worked in hospitals, nursing homes, wellness centers, and dialysis clinics—and in every single one, I saw people suffering from diabetes that could have been prevented. That’s where my obsession with prevention began. Over time, I added more tools to my toolkit: I became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) in 2021, and in 2023, I expanded into functional training—where my passion for mineral testing (HTMA), gut health (GI-MAP), and root-cause healing truly took off.

Today, I combine traditional and functional approaches to help women manage blood sugars, balance hormones, improve digestion, lose weight, and feel empowered in their bodies again.

I’m not here to make you count calories, lecture you about carbs, or shame you into change. My goal is to guide you toward fewer medications, lower grocery bills, balanced labs, and meals that the whole family can enjoy—without guilt.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me with my (now three-year-old!) son and another on the way! —playing, hiking, or making snacks together. It was during my first pregnancy that I realized just how underserved women’s health is, especially in more remote areas. That experience lit a fire in me to shift my practice and support other women who are navigating life changes, often without enough support.

If you’re ready to eat better (yes, including some foods you’ve been told to avoid), manage diabetes, reduce medication, or enter menopause with more grace and confidence—you’re in the right place.

Do any of these sound like you?
